The Greek based lottery provider, Intralot, which has developed a global name for itself thanks to its excellent products and impeccable service, has signed an additional contract with the Ohio Lottery administration. Intralot already has in place a lottery contract with Ohio state to operate its gaming systems. The new two year contract will see Intralot provide Ohio with instant gaming services, and will be renewable for three additional two year periods.
“We look forward to leveraging Intralot’s instant gaming technologies to increase lottery revenues generated for public education in Ohio,” said Michael A. Dolan, the director for the Ohio Lottery Director after the contract was signed.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Intralot, Constantinos Antonopoulos, said about the deal: “We are very satisfied that Ohio Lottery, after our first contract, has selected Intralot to provide additional services. Being a partner of the Ohio Lottery is a great honor that strengthens our determination to offer unique, pioneering products and services to improve the Lottery’s performance.”
It was only last year that Intralot caused a major upheaval in the Ohio Lottery system after it grabbed the operations contract from its staunch industry rival, GTech, which had run the lottery since 1984. The contract was won after a fierce bidding war, where operators needed to go through a tough procurement process and prove their ability to run such a major lottery. |
