Playing Roulette
Roulette is a game traditionally played in a casino. It has derived its name from the French word 'small wheel'. The game of Roulette involves players placing their bets on a range of numbers and colors or whether the number is an odd or even one. The croupier then spins the wheel in one direction and a ball in the opposite direction along a tilted circular track that spans the circumference of the wheel. When the ball loses momentum it falls into a numbered colored pocket on the wheel to determine the winning number and color.
In online Roulette, the rules for tournaments are more or less the same at any land based casino. However, the terms and conditions, guidelines and rules may vary from online casino to online casino or even between two Roulette tournaments hosted by the same casino.
Most online casinos announce the date and time that their Roulette tournaments will start, as well as how long the games will last, which could often be for weeks on end.
Joining a Roulette Tournament
Players are expected to pay a buy-in fee to join the Roulette tournament. They are in turn given the equivalent amount in chips to play with. The objective, as with all casino games, is obviously to collect the maximum number of chips within a pre-fixed period of time. In some Roulette tournaments, players do not have to play at a single sitting and can break up the time duration.
