Keno is a lottery type game in which players mark numbers on a ticket and then sit back and wait for the numbers to be called. Playing keno is simple to learn, particularly if you have a grasp on all of the possible keno terms. - Draw Sheet - A sheet that is available at land-based casinos that has the numbers drawn from the previous round marked on it. It generally has holes over the drawn numbers to make checking your ticket easier.
- Exacta - A ticket with a unique payoff rate that is played for two games.
- Free Play - A keno win that does not pay out, but let's you play your bet again.
- High End Ticket - Different from a regular keno ticket, these tickets pay more if you catch a high number of spots and less (or nothing) if you catch a small number of spots.
- King - A single number circled on a keno ticket. It works with other numbers to make a bet or way.
- King Ticket - A way ticket containing one or more kings.
- Left-Right Ticket - A keno ticket that is marked vertically down the center. The aim is to catch numbers only in one half of the ticket.
- Outside Ticket - The official ticket that is handed back to the player in exchange for their hand-marked ticket and bet.
- Quick Pick - A keno ticket with automatically picked numbers, done by a computer at the player's request.
- Race - A keno game. The name remains from the time when the game was called horse and each number represented a horse.
- Runner - A casino employee who moved through the casino sitting areas collecting keno tickets and paying the winners.
- Straight Ticket - A standard keno ticket sold by casinos.
- Top-Bottom Ticket - Similar to a left-right ticket, the top-bottom ticket is marked horizontally across the center with the aim of catching numbers only in one half of the ticket.
- Way - A separate bet placed on a ticket with more than one bet.
